Maxx Accessories has been around since 1986, and it has been a journey meeting new people along the way. In 2018 there were some challenges that were so unexpected, and made it difficult for me to design my costume jewelry. I was in a car accident on Christmas Eve 2018, and being at home during recovery I had a lot of time to think of expanding a part-time hobby that has turned into a part-time job after my physical recovery.
I began testing the market again and found new ways to present Maxx Accessories. I turned my sunroom into a studio to sell online, and then I had a marketing company develop an amazing website.
This was a beginning of a new direction away from sales reps, on the road going door to door. Home parties and selling to friends and family became a difficult thing to do, especially during COVID. I found that this was another opportunity to get my products outside my general circle.
I saw Maker's Market on Instagram through another follower and decided to give Maker's Market a call to see if they would be interested in carrying my line for the season and sure enough they did.
Maker's Market is a fantastic way and place to market (and test market) your products. I am so happy to be a part of the team of artisans at Maker's Market. It has given me more choices on selling, displaying and doing events with the staff . The customers now have a choice as to how they may want to purchase Maxx Accessories.
